The house is 2 Kilometers off the main coastal road. Access is via a private road leading onto Kilifi Plantation.

The house sits next to what is locally known as the Finch Hatton Estate – Denys Finch-Hatton was one of the main characters detailed in Karen Blixons book “Out of Africa” That estate was also used as a location for the 1984 film “White Mischief”
