Rental Information
The house is available to rent all year around. Rental periods are for a minimum of one week. Sleeping accommodation is for 6 plus 2. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms:
• One master bedroom with double Lamu bed and en-suite shower and bath
• One twin bedroom with 2 single Lamu beds next to each other with en-suite shower
• One double bedroom with 1 double bed and en-suite shower
• The plus 2 are accommodated in the downstairs study, which can be converted into a 4th bedroom and is suitable for adults or children.
• There is a shower room and separate w.c. next to the study.
• All bedrooms have mosquito nets.
Our staff, Charles and Sophie live onsite in the staff quarters and are there to look after our guests. Charles is an excellent cook and is readily able to prepare a variety of dishes, both Africa and European. Fish dishes are a speciality with fresh fish and seafood readily available from the local fisherman who brings it to the house every morning if requested. Charles can organise this for you.
The plantation has a dairy and milk, cheese and yoghurt can be bought at the plantation shop. Charles can advise you to where to buy food and local produce.
Guests are responsible for buying their own food but cooking, cleaning, making of beds etc. is all included in the weekly rental charge. Staff are always appreciative of any tips you might like to give them at the end of your visit!! There is a full time gardener who also maintains the pool.
The house has a satellite TV (Dstv), which has a good range of kids and sport channels as well as French and Italian (on request). The house has mains electricity and a backup generator.
